Staples Center official opening was a special gala opening on
Saturday 16 October 1999. The Staples Center will be the new home
of the Lakers, Clippers and Kings which previously could be found at
the Great Western Forum and Sports Arena. The state of the art
production and entertainment features of the Staples Center will
make it an excellent choice for major concerts and special events.
Bruce Springsteen was the first concert (and first event) at the
Staples Center on Sunday 17 October1999.
