Madea hasn’t gone on the road in nearly 5 years but according to the pistol toting grandma’s creator Tyler Perry himself, all of that is going to change! The 40-year-old filmmaker announced via his official website that Madea’s role will be reprised in a new stage play called “Madea’s Big Happy Family” and the first show kicks off on January 5th 2010 and lasts all the way up until May (though more dates will probably be added later)!

Madea Gets a Job is a 2012 American musical play created, written, produced, and directed by Tyler Perry. It stars Tyler Perry as Madea.The story follows Madea. Madea has to get a job to keep up with the economy. Even as Madea is forced to work, the message is clear and her employer will never be the same after one day on the job.  A high spirited and uplifting performance from a collection of talented and seasoned cast members. She is destined to get in to some trouble.
