BLACK EYED PEAS

about black eyed peas

With more than 20 million albums sold, three GRAMMY Awards and counting, world tours, Fergie’s The Dutchess, and will.i.am’s ascension as an in-demand producer and political game charger (“Yes We Can”), the Black Eyed Peas are a worldwide pop entity. From their early days as b-boys popping and locking around L.A. malls and roller rinks to creating live-band hip-hop from “Joints & Jams”, “Where is the Love”, and “Let’s Get it Started” to “My Humps”, the peas subverted all prevailing pop trends to carve out their own  “party with a consciousness” niche.

Black Eyed Peas advanced their swagger on 20009’s The E.N.D., with “Boom Boom Pow”, and “Imma Be” searing the charts. The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) is an appropriate acronym for the Black Eyed Peas, as the energy provided by Taboo, will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Fergie shows no sign of disappearing.
