Fire officials in Atlanta are investigating a
four-alarm fire that caused major damage at
Tyler Perry’s studios in Atlanta. Over
100 firefighters were called to put out the blaze, which took place
at a back lot soundstage. Some of the property suffered major water
damage. There were no reports of

Get
ready for Basketball Wives…. the movie! Shaunie
O’Neal, the force behind the VH1 reality show, is in talks with
Producer Tracey Edmonds (Soul Food) to do a basketball movie. O’Neal
is under pressure because of the criticism surrounding her
Basketball Wives shows, so she is looking in a new direction. The
reality show has come under fire because off all the negativity and
fighting. There is already a petition 7,000 strong calling for a
boycott of the show and star Evelyn Lozada, who is seen as the main
bully on the show. Tami Roman also stars on the show, and she says
it’s the producers’ fault because of how they edit the show. Roman’s
exploits on the show (fighting and drinking) are well documented.
Don’t be surprised if Basketball Wife Jennifer Williams is dropped
from the show. Williams is suing the show’s producers regarding an
incident where she was slapped on camera by Lozada’s assistant, Nia
Crooks. The producers may countersue Williams regarding her lawsuit
because they feel her badmouthing the show is hurting the brand.
People
magazine named her The Most Beautiful Woman In The World, and now
she is ready to star in Clint Eastwood’s new movie A Star Is Born. Filming

Beyonce became pregnant. This will be the fourth time this movie
has been made: the 1937 original with Janet Gaynor and Fredric
March, 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason and 1976 with Barbara
Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.

Are
Halle Berry’s child custody issues getting in the way of her career? Since
winning an Oscar, Berry has not had a hit movie. Plus, for the past
couple of years, Berry has been fighting publicly with her baby

in France with her fiancé, Actor Olivier Martinez, because it would
harm the relationship between her child Nahla and Nahla’s father.
The June
issue of Ebony magazine is celebrating June Black Music month. Singers
Brandy and Monica are on the cover.
Remember
the 1974 movie Uptown Saturday Night with Sidney Poitier, Bill Cosby
and Harry Belafonte (plus a who’s who of cameos)? Well
a remake is in the works with possible stars Denzel Washington and
Will Smith. Smith bought the rights to remake the three movies
Poitier/Cosby films made in the 1970’s. Let’s Do It Again and A
Piece Of The Action are the other two.

Houston is planning on writing a book about her daughter
Whitney Houston. Cissy,
78, says she plans to write about the good and the bad with her
daughter. Gospel Star BeBe Winans is also writing a book about his
friendship with Houston. In other Whitney news, her ex-husband Bobby
Brown sat down with Matt Lauer of The Today Show. Brown says he is
not the reason for Whitney’s downfall. Brown says he has been clean
and sober from narcotics for seven years. He says he saw his ex-wife
a week before her death, but didn’t know she was still struggling.
He also says their reality TV show, Being Bobby Brown, was a wakeup
call for them. Brown says the show made them realize how their drug
use was affecting their lives.

is going to be awarded the Presidential Medal Of Freedom. The

best known for the books The Bluest Eye, Song Of Solomon and

self-titled reality show is not being renewed. Odom
is now trying to concentrate on his NBA career, and
Khloe is in talks to do her own spinoff show minus
Odom. In other E network news, get ready for

Will
there be a sequel to
Steve Harvey’s hit movie Think Like A Man? The
movie took in over $60 million at the box office.
The movie, based on Harvey’s best-selling book,
claimed the no.1 spot at the box office two weeks in
a row. I hear they may be a sequel which will focus
on marriage and a trip to Las Vegas.

in Porgy and Bess. Franklin previously wanted Oscar Winner Halle
Berry to play her, but Berry turned her down.

of autism. Stockman
and his wife Sharonda are the parents of a toddler daughter and

The show will air on the Oxygen channel.
Actor
Jaleel White has a new show on the SCI-FI Channel. It’s
an extreme game show which airs on Wednesday nights.
White was recently bounced from Dancing With The
Stars. Many feel his personal life got in the way of
his dancing abilities on the show. His baby momma
went to the press about past abuse from him. White
also in got to an altercation with his dance partner
Kym Johnson on the show. I think this hurt his
public perception on the show and he got bounced.
White is best known for his work as “Steve Urkel” on
the show Family Matters.

It looked like two pair of Musical Couples were going to join forces, but
somebody’s face got cracked. One of the couples practices two strict rules:
no cheap publicity stunt seekers and A-Listers only in their circle.
