Mo’Nique is at war with her family. The Oscar-winning actress opened up a can of worms when she gave Oprah Winfrey permission to interview her family about her oldest brother, Gerald Imes, molesting her as a child. At first, Mo’Nique gave her blessing. Then she saw the direction of the show, and realized she made a mistake. Mo’Nique feels her brother lied about the details of the abuse, and he was not sympathetic enough towards her. Mo’Nique’s brother Gerald admitted molesting her from the age of 7 to 11. He says he did while she was asleep, but Mo’Nique says it happened while she was wide awake. She is now refusing to speak to her family, and she won’t go back on Oprah. Gerald, who claims he was molested as a child, was also sentenced to 12 years in jail for abusing another child. This matter should not have been on TV. The whole family should have gone to therapy. Now they will never find peace. Mo’Nique is coming to Philly on May 21^st with a comedy show at the Liacouras Center.

Speaking of Oprah, she had a rough week with the release of the unauthorized biography by Kitty Kelley. More startling revelations came out. For instance, who is Oprah’s daddy? Norh Robinson, an 84-year old World War II veteran who lives in Mississippi, says he’s her daddy, and he wants Oprah to take a DNA test. Oprah says no way! She dismissed the book as a So Called Biography and proclaimed This Too Shall Pass. In the meantime, there are Oprah family members who now wish they never talked to Kitty Kelley. Oprah’s 82-year old cousin/aunt, Katherine Carr Esters, says she was misquoted and tricked, and she regrets what she said about Oprah. Meanwhile, Oprah’s stepfather, Vernon Winfrey, is sticking by his statements in the book. In other “Mighty O” news, she is planning a reality show based on the final season of The Oprah Winfrey Show that will air on her new network OWN. We will see Oprah unwrapped with no makeup, having a bubble bath and living her life.

“The Love Machine” is turning the tables on his wife. Larry King was the subject of much ridicule last week when his wife, Shawn Southwick, filed for divorce claiming that Larry was cheating on her with her sister, Shannon Engemann. Shawn found receipts of the gifts the CNN host brought for Shannon: a car, jewelry, furs, clothing and her rent. Was Larry stepping out on his wife with her sister? Or, was he just getting back at his wife for fooling around with their son’s baseball coach. The coach is a cutie, and he’s talking. Hector Penate coached little league for the King children (Larry and Shawn have two sons), and he says an affair with King’s wife started immediately. He says he felt like he lived at the King home because he always there sleeping the with the TV legend’s wife. Penate is an aspiring actor, and he says he needed to go public with the affair. At 76, does Larry King need this? Divorce proceedings have been put on hold with the news of the couple’s problems surfacing. Sources say at this point, Shawn Southwick (King) should just stay put. Other sources claim that Shawn and her sister are in cahoots to take King’s money. Let’s just say there is no fool like an old fool.

Action Star Steven Seagal has been the subject of numerous sexual harassment complaints. The latest involves the granddaughter of Ray Charles. Blair Robinson is the daughter of Ray Charles, Jr. and the granddaughter of the late music legend, and she says she first met Seagal after the funeral of her grandfather. Blair says the action star befriended her and offered her a job. She says it was only later she realize the job came with sexual strings, and she fled. Seagal’s former wife, Actress Kelly LeBrock (The Woman In Red), says she has a lot to say too, but she will tell all in a book.

Shaquille O’Neal is not a happy camper. O’Neal’s ex wife Shaunie has got his money and a new man….a youngin’ … 23-year old Model Marlon Yates. Shaunie is living life to the fullest with her five kids. For years, Shaq cheated on Shaunie, and now Shaunie is getting her revenge. Shaq is not happy. He reportedly told their children he was going to kill her new boyfriend. Then he threatened Shaunie saying he will sue if she clowns him on her new reality show. This is not a good look for Shaq, but let’s face it, he got beat at his own game…..Go Shaunie!

Filming has already started for season three of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. The new season kicks off in late July, and you can expect cheating, chair throwing, fights, bad plastic surgery, a pregnancy, fake lesbians and one, or maybe two, cast members leaving mid-season.

Fantasia’s reality show has been renewed for a second season. So far, the new lineup of reality shows on VH1 has only been doing so-so in the ratings, including Basketball Wives, Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business and What Chilli Wants. In other reality news, TV has a hit on their hands with LisaRaye. The debut of The Real McCoy drew over one million viewers.

The VH1 Hip Hop Honors is set for June 7^th. This year’s honorees include Producer Jermaine Dupri, Rapper Master P and “Uncle Luke” himself, Luther Campbell.

Will Smith is returning to the Men In Black franchise, this time in 3-D. The new movie will also reunite him with co-star Tommy Lee Jones and hits theatres May 2011.

Malik Yoba wants to bring back his old TV series New York Undercover. Yoba has been meeting with the creators of Law And Order (because they created the original New York Undercover) in hopes of bringing the hit show back to TV.

Laurence Fishburne has signed on for another season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Betty White is hosting Saturday Night Live on May 8^th. The special musical guest is Jay-Z. Gabby Sidebe is also headed to SNL as host. The star of Precious is hosting the show on April 24^th. In other Gabby news, her mom, Alice Tan Ridley, has been chosen to compete this summer on America’s Got Talent. Ridley is a subway singer who is well known in the New York area.

The Michael Jackson estate has just signed a deal with Cirque du Soleil. In the fall of 2011, a new show featuring the music of Michael Jackson, dancing and acrobatics will travel around the world.

Trey Songz and Monica are gearing up for a summer tour. Songz also has a new reality sow debuting on BET on June 27^th.

Toni Braxton’s new album, Pulse, has a new release date: May 4^th. The album has undergone some changes, including appearances by Mo’Nique and Robin Thicke. Toni is also having major tax problems. She owes the I.R.S. over $400,000 in back taxes. Sources say it was money problems that led to the breakup of her marriage to Singer Keri Lewis of Mint Condition.

Anita Baker is headed back to the studio for the first time in five years. The 52-year old singer is teaming up with Producer George Duke, and the album should be out later this year.

The Vivica A. Fox Hair Collection recently made its debut. Fox’s brand new wig line features a full line of wigs and extensions.

Kid ‘N Play, Christopher Reid and Christopher Martin, are reuniting. After a long absence, the rappers and House Party stars will be hitting the road with a new tour.

Will Paula Abdul ever return to American Idol? The show hasn’t been the same without her. I love Ellen DeGeneres, but she hasn’t brought anything new to the table. I miss the Paula spark. Idol producers say they have no interest in bringing her back. I think the next time we see Paula back on TV it will be with Simon Cowell’s new talent show (The X-Factor) next year.

Actress Victoria Rowell is back with her latest book Secrets Of A Soap Opera Diva. Rowell is best known for her work on the soap opera The Young And The Restless, where she played “Drucilla.” Will she ever return to the legendary number one daytime show? So far, producers have expressed no interest in bringing back Rowell, but a casting call recently went out for an African American woman to play a character loosely based on “Drucilla.”

What’s up with Allen Iverson and his bodyguards fighting in Atlanta nightclubs? Sources say it was over a gambling debt. I wish he would get it together and return to the NBA, but what team would want him?

Don’t invite Grace Jones and Pop Sensation Lady Gaga to the same party. Lady Gaga may be the new sensation, but Grace Jones, the original Style Diva is not impressed with the Gaga Hoopla. When asked if she would ever work with Lady Gaga, Jones replied No, She Stole My Style!

More tax troubles for “Mr. Biggs.” Isley Brothers’ Frontman Ron Isley just got out of jail for tax issues, and he still owes money. The state of California says he owes them over $304,000.

The Steve Harvey Radio Show is coming to TV. The BET network will be airing The Steve Harvey Radio Show on their Centric network starting this fall. Also, get ready for the return of the TV show The Game. The cancelled CW comedy is being revived on the Bet network with the original cast.

So what do you do when you have conquered the world of football and you are one of the legends? Well, you play golf. Football Great Jerry Rice enters the Pro Football Hall Of Fame in August, but in the meantime, at the age 47, he is turning his attention to starting a pro golfing career.
