What's really going on with Lisa Raye McCoy Missick and the
Reverend Al Sharpton? Are these two the new, hot super couple? Here’s the
back story on the two for the past few weeks, they have been spotted
everywhere: Michael Jackson’s funeral, the Congressional Black Caucus and
various social events. Is Reverend Al serving as her spiritual advisor? Is
he helping her with her reality show? They have been spotted holding hands
and cuddled up, but spokespeople for Lisa Raye say its all nonsense because
he is old enough to be her father. REALLY!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmm! Lisa Raye
is 42, and Reverend Al is 54. There’s not much age difference. Lisa Raye and
Reverend Al are no longer married to other people, so what’s the big deal?
This is a great opportunity for Lisa Raye. She is no longer the First Lady
of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Lisa Raye has dated men in the NBA and the
NFL, so now let’s move on to civil rights. Let’s see where this leads.
How about that fake wedding between Khloe Kardashian and Lakers Star Lamar
Odom? Yes, fake wedding because the marriage is not valid. No prenup was
signed, and this must happen before the marriage will be viewed as legal.
They are going to have to marry again to make it legal. Odom has been dating
Kardashian for only six weeks, and he just signed a $32 million deal with
the Lakers. The Kardashian family has made a lot of money off of this fake
marriage. Lamar just looks like a bystander while this circus goes on. The E
network will air the fake wedding in November. This has been such a good
deal for Khloe Kardashian. For so long she was the ugly duckling of the
clan. But, earlier this year, she decided to lose some weight and step out
on her own. And, step out she did. She landed a baller. She upstaged her
sisters in a major way. There’s the sexy sister, Kim, who can’t get Reggie
Bush to marry her, and there’s the cute sister Kourtney who’s pregnant and
her boyfriend won’t marry her. Khloe lucked up with Odom, who didn’t realize
until the 10th hour that he should get a prenup. Lamar had a longstanding
relationship with his baby momma, Liza Morales. They had three kids, and
earlier this year, their youngest died. According to Morales, she realized
Odom was getting married after he sent her a text message. They hadn’t been
together, but she was hopeful they would reunite. Morales says she threw out
his clothes. How dare he? He hadn’t seen his children in months. What does
he mean he was getting married? She threw his clothes out, including the
custom made clothes and size 15 shoes. Where was her ring after three kids?
In the meantime, he meets this woman and in six weeks she gets a 12 carat
ring. What’s in it for Odom, a reality show or more public embarrassment?
Jamie Foxx and Kirstie Alley?!!! She is known for her stint on Cheers and
her weight loss battles. Alley is once again on the weight loss track, and
she claims in her tweets that she’s losing it with the help of Foxx. Alley
brags about seeing him naked and getting massages. She also talks about
working out by herself and with Foxx. Jamie!!! Say it ain’t so!!!!! Are you
and Alley an item, or is this just a publicity stunt for your new movie, Law
Abiding Citizen. It opens in theatres Oct. 16th.

Ebony magazine is up for sale. The popular publication, which has been
around for over 50 years, is in financial trouble. The legendary Ebony
Fashion Fair was cancelled this year due to a lack of corporate sponsors.
Over the past few years, the magazine has had layoffs, pullbacks and
closures. Who will buy the magazine? How about Time, which owns Essence? How
about Viacom, which owns BET, or maybe private investors? There’s no word on
what will happen to sister publication, Jet magazine. Both magazines are
staples in the African American community.
Is Jermaine Jackson headed to Dancing With The Stars? Word has it he’s
eyeing a spot on the next year’s edition. Jackson has been spotted hanging
around the set and sitting in the audience taking notes. Jermaine loves the
spotlight, and he knows dancing on the show would give him great exposure.
Singer Alicia Keys is getting ready to release her new CD, The Element Of
Freedom, on Dec. 1st. The first single, Doesn’t Mean Anything, is already
climbing the charts. As Keys gets ready to promote her latest release, her
close circle is wondering how she is going to handle the press concerning
her relationship with married Record Producer Swizz Beatz. Swizz Beatz’s
wife has blasted the couple for their public affair. She says she is stuck
with their baby while they carry on for the world to see. Is Alicia Keys a
home wrecker? This is not a good look for the singer, who has been scandal
free since she launched her career.

Will the real story of Bobby Brown ever be told? According to Derrick
Handspike, the author of Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing
But, says no. Handspike says Bobby’s ex, Whitney Houston, ruined his chances
for his book because she used the tales of their marriage to sell her latest
album. Handspike says by claiming that Bobby was the bad influence in the
marriage, it didn’t paint a true picture of Bobby Brown. He says his book
was going to show all sides of Brown, including Whitney, who he described as
Ghetto Gangster From East Jersey. Handspike says interest for his book dried
up once Whitney started telling her version of their marriage.
