Was The King Of Pop murdered? Are we looking at a homicide? A lot of theories are being given out about the death of Michael Jackson. In a shocking interview last weekend to the British tabloids, LaToya Jackson said she believes her brother was murdered, and she didn’t trust his inner circle. She says she believes it was a conspiracy to steal his fortune. The Jackson family is suspecting foul play. As we await the results of the toxicology reports, we could be looking at a murder investigation. I think the results of the report are going to be shocking. What was he going through in his final months and days of his life? A lot of attention is being focused on two doctors, Conrad Murray, who was with Jackson when he died, and Arnold Klein, the dermatologist and rumored father of Michael’s two oldest children.

Debbie Rowe, the mother of the oldest kids, is also making headlines. Is she looking for a big payday? Does she want to sell her kids again? Rowe is being advised by lawyers who want her to get money for the kids. Rowe has told those around her she doesn’t want the kids, but the children are worth a lot of money. Rowe could gain a lot. I truly doubt a judge is going to let Debbie Rowe get custody of those kids despite Katherine Jackson’s age. The children are better left in the hands of the Jacksons. The brothers are looking to cash in on their brother’s death. They are in negotiations with the A&E network for a documentary that could bring them in millions. Meanwhile, sister Janet is back at work on the Tyler Perry movie, Why Did I Get Married II. Filming has started, and the movie is due out next April. Word has it she is also back with Producer Jermaine Dupri, who was not at the Michael Jackson memorial. Hmmmmmmmm!!!!!

A lot couples are making headlines. Congrats to Actor Terrence Howard, he just got married to Columbian Actress Zulay Henao.

Actress Victoria Rowell (formerly “Drucilla” from The Young And The Restless) just tied the knot with Artist Radcliffe Bailey. Actress Gabrielle Union is poised to become the next Mrs. Dwayne Wade once his divorced is finalized from his wife. Sanaa Lathan has been spending a lot of time with Actor/Singer Tyrese. What does the future hold for these two? He just got divorced, and she just split with Football Player Wale Ogunleye. Bishop Weeks, as in Bishop Thomas Weeks, the ex-husband of Prophetess Juanita Bynum, has found a wife. Bishop Weeks had his mind set on finding a new wife. He advertised by launching a web campaign, with high standards, and the winner is another prophetess. The woman is very pretty (that was one if his requirements). Prophetess Christina Glenn will be the next Mrs. Weeks. Despite his past, Prophetess Glenn is ready marry Weeks. Bishop Weeks made headlines when he married Prophetess Juanita Bynum in a splashy multi-million dollar wedding. The marriage came to a screeching halt after he assaulted the Prophetess Bynum in an Atlanta parking lot. Bishop Weeks and his congregation are happy and excited that he has found someone to share his life with. As for Prophetess Bynum, she has been making appearances, but she has basically kept a low profile.

Is Beyonce ready to sign on for Obsessed, Part II? The hit movie which starred Beyonce and Idris Elba is coming out on DVD and Blu Ray on August 4th. The story line for part two would revolve around the wife having an affair and being stalked. Check out Idris Elba on the cover of the latest issue of Essence magazine.

Whatever happened to Jodeci? Back in the 90’s, the foursome, Cedric “K-Ci” Hailey, JoJo Hailey, Dalvin “Mr. Dalvin” DeGrate and Donald “Devante Swing” DeGrate, ruled the charts with Forever My Lady, Cry For You, and Feenin’. Well, a recent reunion for the guys was planned, but brothers K-Ci and JoJo backed out leaving the other guys hanging. They guys need the money, so what’s the problem? Sources say it’s all about egos out of control.

Get ready for the Soul Train DVD sets. Earlier this year, Soul Train Creator and Founder Don Cornelius sold the rights and licensing to his famous TV show, and now we get to benefit. I often wondered why the Soul Train TV show was not available on DVD box sets like other shows, but now the wait is over. A lot of classic episodes featuring The Jacksons, The Staple Singers, LaBelle, Al Green, Marvin Gaye and Shalamar, to name a few, will be featured in a new packaged DVD set.

First, he got kicked off Dancing With The Stars. Now Comedian/Actor David Alan Grier is getting the boot from his marriage. Grier’s short lived two-year marriage is over. The cause is listed as irreconcilable differences. Grier and his wife have a year-old daughter.

Singer/Actress Brandy is having a hard time jump starting her career, so now it’s back to momma for help. Brandy recently parted ways with her latest management team, and she may not be returning to her record label. Her last album did poorly despite heavy promotion. The former Moesha star has been involved in a series of bad decisions over the past few years, including faking a marriage and being involved in a car crash that killed a woman. On the bright side, her hair collection is doing well, but she really wants a singing or acting gig.

After the success of her Unsung TV documentary, Singer Melba Moore wants to reveal more. Moore is writing her autobiography, Still Standing, and she is working on a new CD, The Gift Of Love. The documentary was very revealing as she discussed her life with Actor/Singer Clifton Davis, and how her former husband stole her fortune and left her bankrupt.

Former Washington, DC Mayor Marion Barry is finding out the hard way about love and modern technology. He recently had charges against him dropped for stalking a woman. The woman turned out to be an ex who admitted he didn’t stalk her, but she did cooperate in getting text messages released which revealed how twisted their relationship was. Apparently, he wanted certain sex acts performed, and the girlfriend wouldn’t do it. In the 90’s, Barry made headlines when he was caught smoking crack with a lady in a hotel room. Over the years, he has gotten into trouble for various incidents. He now sits on the Washington, DC City Council. Could this hurt his chance at being reelected?

Quincy Jones 75, a new DVD that is coming out on the 21st, is a celebration of the famed musician’s life. The DVD features Q collaborators Chaka Khan and Herbie Hancock among others.

KeKe Palmer is coming out with a clothing line. The young star of the Nickelodeon TV series Tru Jackson VP is teaming up with Wal-Mart stores with a clothing line based on her popular TV character. The line will be out just in time for back to school shopping.

Tennis Sensation Serena Williams is also coming out with something new as well. Williams will be debuting her new line of beauty products next month on the Home Shopping Network.

The big paydays are coming for the stars of American Idol. Idol Host Ryan Seacrest has just signed a three-year deal worth $45 million to remain as host of the show. Idol Judge Simon Cowell is reportedly about to sign a deal worth $100 million. Many are wondering what will be left for Judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. Both are looking for huge pay raises to stay with the show.

Thursday, July 30th on the Bravo network, it’s the return of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. Season two will feature a new housewife, or almost housewife, Grammy award-winning Songwriter/Producer Kandi Burruss. Burruss used to be the group Xscape. Judging from the previews, there will be a lot of fighting in the second season. NeNe continues to fight with Kim, and now Kandi, Sheree and Lisa stand by to instigate. I hope the series shows more than just fighting. I love NeNe, but it seems as though she has to take on the world to get her point across.

Tyler Perry is gearing up a busy fall. The promos have already started for his new Madea movie, I Can Do Bad All By Myself. The movie hits theaters on September 11th, and will star Taraji P. Henson, Mary J. Blige and Gladys Knight. Of course, Perry returns as “Madea.” He’s also has his new project with Oprah Winfrey, the Lee Daniel film Precious. Precious hits theatres on November 6th, and is based on the novel Push by Sapphire. Precious stars Mo’Nique, Paula Patton, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, Sherri Shepherd and newcomer Gabourey “Gabby” Sidibe.

Since I mentioned Mary J. Blige, The Queen Of Hip Hop Soul is releasing a new CD in November called Technical Difficulty. Blige says she’s excited about the project. She is going to be everywhere this fall. She is one of the stars of the new Tyler Perry-Madea movie, I Can Do Bad All By Myself, which comes out in September. Mary’s co-star in the movie is Gladys Knight. Knight is coming out with a jewelry line. The singer/actress and business woman is exited about her new venture. The Gladys Knight Jewelry Line will be sold at major department stores and through The Home Shopping Network. The Gladys Knight Jewelry Line debuts in December.

The VH1 network is getting ready to unveil a new lineup of reality shows, and the ladies are taking charge and looking for love. There’s Fantasia with a show based on her life and career. The Fantasia show debuts in January. Pepa from Salt and Pepa is looking for love. She is on the hunt after a disastrous marriage to Rapper Treach from Naughty By Nature. Chilli from TLC is famous for her past relationships with Producer Dallas Austin and Singer Usher. Chilli is still hot and looking for love in her reality show, which debuts next year.

Actor Hill Harper (CSI-New York) is back with a new book. Harper’s previous books (Letters To A Young Brother and Letters To A Young Sister) topped the New York Times Best Sellers List. Harper’s new book, The Conversation: How Black Men and Women Can Build Trusting Relationships, is available in stores now. Harper says the dynamics of being in a relationship can be so complex, but dialogue can bring together a better understanding between men and women.

Sheryl Lee Ralph is returning to Broadway. The former Dreamgirls star is joining the cast of the musical The First Wives Club. The Broadway production is based on the best-selling book and movie The First Wives Club. Ralph will be playing the role made famous by Goldie Hawn. In real life, Ralph is the wife of Pennsylvania State Senator Vincent Hughes. Veteran Motown Songwriters Holland-Dozier-Holland are doing the musical score for the show.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation is gearing up for the 91st birthday celebration of the South African leader. The foundation is staging a big concert on July 18th with Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys at Madison Square Garden in New York.

This year’s VH-1 Hip Hop Honors will pay homage to Def Jam Records. The famed label celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. In addition to honoring the labels founders, Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin, they will pay tribute to the great Def Jam artists such as Public Enemy, The Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Jay-Z, Ja Rule, DMX, Ludacris and Kanye West. Tracy Morgan is hosting The Hip Hop Honors, and it will air on Oct 12th on VH1.

The BET cable network has picked up the syndicated TV rights to The Wendy Williams talk show.
