How did R Kelly get off? The nightmare is over for R Kelly. With the help of the most powerful and prestigious lawyers in the country, Kelly was acquitted on all 14 counts of child pornography. How does a man with a history of dealing with young women and videotaping his escapades escape jail time? The jury deliberated for 3 hours and came back with the verdict. After the verdict was read, some members of the 12 jury panel admitted the vote was split and many thought it was Kelly on the tape. But because the victim didn’t testify, they had no option but to acquit. So what will Kelly do now? It has been a terrible ordeal for his family, so he plans to take some time to spend with family then move on with his life. Sources say he needs time to recover.

Naomi Campbell needs help! The supermodel has been drinking and is out of control. Her public displays of madness and falling out in public are causing concern amongst her closest friends. Why is she drinking again? Friends fear she may harm herself and are urging her to go to rehab.

Is Lisa Raye ready to throw in the towel? The marriage between the actress and the Prime Minister Michael Missick is over, but Lisa Raye doesn’t want to walk away empty handed. The rape scandal and his cheating have taken a toll on her. She wants out after all the embarrassment. She has been trying to negotiate a settlement, but the prime minister has no money nor does he have any assets. Prime Minister Missick has nothing in his name. Everything is tied up in the family trusts. Sources are urging Lisa Raye to negotiate to get some property on the Turks and Caicos Islands as part of a divorce settlement.

The BET Awards are set for Tuesday night, June 24th. Usher is opening the show. Quincy Jones and Al Green will be honored that night. Comedian D.L. Hughley is hosting. Jill Scott will be performing during the Al Green tribute.

Boxer Evander Holyfield gets to keep his house. His $10 million Georgia mansion was facing foreclosure, but a bank has come through to extend him a loan. The news for his baby mommas was not so good. He has nine children and many of the women will have to wait until mid summer to get their child support money.

Shaquille O’Neal has come up with a plan to help those in central Florida keep their homes. O’Neal has set up a real estate development project that will help people save their homes from foreclosure. This will be targeted for those with high interest rates. O’Neal’s plan is to buy the mortgages and sell it back to homeowners with more affordable terms. O’Neal says he is a businessman with a conscious.

Blu Cantrell is going to take if off again. Years ago, the singer was exposed for posing nude in Black Tail magazine. This time she is stripping down for Playboy magazine.

Is Whitney Houston headed to HBO? The cast of the hit show Entourage thinks that she would be a great guest on the show.

Bobby Brown’s long awaited tell all, Being Bobby Brown, has been cancelled. What happened? Brown was willing to tell all about the drugs, life with Whitney Houston and New Edition. Did the publisher back out? Did they think Bobby was lying? Will the book ever come out? Meanwhile, Brown’s former bandmate Ralph Tresvant is working hard on a new solo album, which is due out this fall.

It’s going to be a boy for Laila Ali and her husband, Curtis Conway. The baby is due this fall.

Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins starring Martin Lawrence, Cedric The Entertainer, Mo’Nique and Mike Epps is now available on DVD.

Singer Keyshia Cole is sporting a new look. Cole has had her teeth redone, and she is sporting a fabulous new set of veneers.

Al Reynolds is making some shocking new charges against his soon to be ex-wife, Star Jones. According to published reports, Reynolds claims someone has been making crank calls to his mom, and he claims Jones is behind it. Reynolds says Jones has gone out of her way to humiliate and embarrass him. He was recently served divorce papers while teaching class at a Florida college. Reynolds says his mom, who is in her 70’s, does not deserve to be treated this way. Spokespeople for Jones had no comment on these allegations.

Mariah is turning out to be a bore. The marriage of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon has not made the couple any money. Carey wanted to have a second wedding ceremony something flashy and expensive. She was counting on selling pictures of the ceremony to help pay for the extravaganza, but nobody was willing to pay for the pictures. Mariah may be in love and Nick may be spending her money like crazy, but nobody is interested in the couple.

Michael Jackson turns 50 in August, and he is looking for ways to salvage his career and establish his legacy. The King of Pop has been in talks to do some Las Vegas shows. Associates of Jackson feel this would be perfect in staging his career comeback. Proposals include Jackson doing 180 shows a year, or do a musical extravaganza with his brothers with 30 or 40 shows a year. Since his child molestation trial, Jackson’s career reputation and finances have been a mess. Before he signs any deals, Jackson will have to prove he can still and dance. Will Oprah be the one to help him?

According to Lionel Richie, The Commodores are getting back together. Richie says a reunion with his former bandmates is long overdue. He says they missed their chance before Milan Williams died. He was one of the founding members of the group and the lead guitarist. Richie says to look for a tour within the next two years.

Prince is celebrating turning 50 with his latest cover on Jet magazine.

After 37 years, Don Cornelius is letting go of Soul Train. He has sold the brand and the name to MadVision Entertainment. The new company plans to rebrand Soul Train with a line DVD classics as well as bring back the show.

Mario Lopez has been named the hottest bachelor according to People magazine. Lopez looks hot as he tops the list, which also includes Actor Terrence Howard.

Has Queen Latifah reached her weight loss goal since becoming a Jenny Craig spokesperson? Yes she has! Latifah says she wanted to lose five to ten percent of her body weight, and she has. Since joining the program, she says her jeans feel looser and she has more energy.

Motown Records is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a 10 CD box set. The Motown collection comes out July 1st on Time Life Music. The box set will also feature a DVD of Motown stars on The Ed Sullivan Show and lyrics to 10 songs. Billy Dee Williams will be starring in the infomercial.

Will Smith’s new movie, Hancock, opens in theatres July 2nd.

Sherri Shepherd of The View has been tapped to co-host The Daytime Emmys on June 20th.

The Michael Baisden TV Show returns for a second season on June 21st. The show airs on TV One. This season’s special guests include Singer Tamia and Iyanla Van Zandt.

Ugly Betty Star Vanessa Williams has been tapped to host the TV Land Awards on June 15th.
