Actor Gary Dourdan needs to check into rehab immediately. Dourdan is best known for his work on the TV show CSI. He played “Warrick Brown.” A few weeks ago, he announced he was leaving the hit show, but he was actually fired because of his continued drug use. Last week, Dourdan was arrested after police found him slumped out unconscious in his car. Dourdan was found with heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and prescription drugs.

Singer Chaka Khan and her son Damien Holland are going to have to pay $1.3 million to the family of a teen who was killed in their home. Four years ago 17-year old Christopher Bailey was found shot in the face. Bailey was shot with an M-16 assault rifle. Bailey had moved in with Khan and her son because they were helping him with his music career. During this time, Bailey got involved with Holland’s girlfriend. Holland found out and a fight broke out. In the end, Bailey was shot dead. Holland said it was an accident. Holland was acquitted two years ago and the family of Bailey filed a wrongful death lawsuit. A judge ordered the payout because they claim previous warnings were ignored.

Actress Angela Bassett is coming to TV. Bassett is joining the cast of the NBC show ER. This will be the 15th and final season for the long running drama. Bassett has been on a roll. She recently got a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, and she just finished filming the movie Notorious about the life of Rapper Biggie Smalls. Bassett played Biggie’s mom, Voletta.

Al Reynolds speaks! Reynolds, a.k.a. Mr. Star Jones, says he is no lazy bum. Reynolds admits that he stopped working when he hooked up with Star Jones, but he says he quit his job because she told him to. She wanted him at her beck and call. The four-year old marriage between Jones and Reynolds came to a screeching halt earlier this year. Friends say Star was tired of paying all the bills. Friends of Reynolds say he checked out of the marriage a year ago, and he doesn’t miss her. Reynolds is now working as a professor at a Florida college. When he’s not working at the school, he works on his tan. He has been keeping company with hot young dudes and scantily clad women. Reynolds loves to party and have other people pay, but Star Jones got tired of it.

Is little James Brown, II really the son of the Godfather of Soul? Well, we’re going to find out in 30 days. Tomi Rae Hynie, James Brown’s companion at the time of his death, has to take her six-year old for DNA testing. A judge has ordered this test to settle this controversy once and for all. The child already gets social security benefits and insurance benefits from the estate, but is he really the Godfather’s son? Friends of Brown claim the soul legend had a vasectomy in the 80’s, which would make it impossible for him to be the father this child.

Beyonce teams up with Ellen DeGeneres for a new American Express commercial. They two even share a friendly kiss.

Oprah Winfrey is gearing up for a star-studded May. In addition to her reunion with Tom Cruise, Oprah will also feature Music Legends Cher and Tina Turner. Turner is expected to announce that at the age of 68, she’s coming out of retirement to go out on tour again.

Chris Tucker has been hit with a paternity suit. A Los Angeles woman claims she dated Tucker two years ago. When she told him she was pregnant, he disappeared. The two-year old girl has never met Tucker. Tucker says this is all news to him because he knows nothing about a woman or a baby. He will now have to take a DNA test to see who is telling the truth.

Actor Wesley Snipes is preparing to start his jail sentence. Last week, Snipes was sentenced to three year in jail for tax evasion. He also paid a $5 million fine. Snipes will have to serve at least 2 ½ years in prison. Reps for Snipes claim the actor was the victim of bad tax advice. He never meant to defraud the government. His wife and kids are said to be devastated by the news, and he is making plans to make sure his wife and kids are cared for while he is away. A lot of his famous friends and colleagues have vowed to stand by his side and help him get acting jobs when he is released. Snipes joins a long line of celebrities serving prison sentences including Soul Singer Ron Isley and former Olympic darling, Marion Jones.

Janet Jackson says she’s ready to hit the road. She’s preparing for a new tour that will kick off in September.(http://www.2downfront.com/calendar.htm)

Supermodel Naomi Campbell will be appearing in the season finale of Ugly Betty. The 37-year old supermodel is looking to improve her image by making a star turn on the series. A few weeks ago, Campbell was dragged off a plane for spitting and cursing at authorities.

Actor Orlando Brown, the 20-year old star of the Disney show That’s So Raven, is in need of help. Last week, he went missing, then suddenly reappeared. Last year, he was caught with drugs. Soon Brown is going to be one of those child stars who got lost as an adult. This is not a good look for him, and it could hurt his chances for staying in the Disney franchise.

Jennifer Lopez is in talks to do a reality show with the TLC network. The show will reportedly showcase the business side of Lopez as she launches a new perfume.

The eight-month marriage between Gary Coleman and his young wife, Shannon Price, is over. The 40-year old former child star recently appeared on the TV show Divorce Court, and his 22-year old wife revealed all. She talked about his temper tantrums, and that living with Coleman was like living with a five-year old. When he wouldn’t get his way, he would throw things, bang his head into the wall and he would disappear in the middle of the night. They filmed the two-part episode of Divorce Court to get Coleman to address his anger issues.

American Idol Winner Jordin Sparks vows she will sing again. Sparks had to back out of the Alicia Keys concert tour because she developed bleeding vocal chords. She has been under strict doctor’s orders to rest her voice.

Congrats to Actress Terri Vaughn and her husband Karon Riley. They are the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy. Riley is a defensive lineman for the Cleveland Gladiators and Vaughn is best known for her work on The Steve Harvey Show playing Cedric The Entertainer’s wife.

At the movies, it’s Iron Man with Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Terrence Howard. With the special effects, this is bound to be the first big blockbuster of the summer.

After years of not speaking, it was a great reunion for Prince and Morris Day. Years ago, before Purple Rain, the two were in competition with their bands, The Revolution and The Time. Despite their successes, they just couldn’t get along and put aside their differences. Earlier this year, Prince snubbed Morris Day at the Grammys and came across looking very childish. Well, Prince is about to turn 50 in a few weeks, and decided to let bygones be bygones. So, he, Morris Day and Sheila E. all performed together at a music festival in California. The event went so well, there’s talk that the three will reunite and go on tour.

Whitney Houston’s comeback has hit a snag. She got horrible reviews at The Plymouth Jazz Festival. In addition to her voice cracking when she sang, she didn’t know where she was and kept referring to a different location. Let’s hope Ray J is out of the picture. Whitney was with the young singer at the Hopkins fight, and she was acting strange there too. Whitney’s handlers are going to have to keep a close eye on her. She cannot be around people who get high and drink alcohol. She is not strong enough. She needs to be around people who will look out for her and not use her for publicity.

The response was overwhelming to our poll about the TV show American Idol. The majority of readers admitted they have stopped watching the show. American Idol is still the most watched show on TV, but the audience is shrinking. People have cited sheer boredom, talent that is not that good and poor song choices. Will there be changes next year? Probably. There has been talk that the auditions will now be seen as flashbacks. Even though the show is still number one, a lot of people are not feeling it anymore. An upgrade for the show is needed. As for Randy, Paula and Simon, can Randy stop with the “Dawg” - it is so corny? As for Paula, stop doing the extras because whatever it is, you appear as though you are drunk or high. Simon, I love your honesty. I hope you are not as bored as the audience.

People magazine has unveiled their 100 most beautiful people issue. Congrats to Halle Berry and Mary J. Bilge who both made the list.
