Star Jones has filed for divorce from hubby Al
Reynolds. The past few months have been rough for
Jones. At the beginning of the year, she lost her
gig on Court TV. Jones first met Reynolds when she
was one of the stars of the TV chatfest The View.
When they hooked up, he stopped working and never
looked back. As far as Reynolds was concerned, it
was party time, and party they did. Despite rumors
of Reynolds sexuality and shady past, Jones went
ahead and married him. It was a public spectacle
that she would later regret. In hindsight, Jones
admits she should have handled things better, but
she was so excited about having a man and losing
weight, that she couldn’t help herself. When Jones
lost her job on Court TV, things came to a
standstill in the Jones/Reynolds household. Jones
was raised believing a man should contribute to the
household, not just party all night and sleep all
day. Who was going to get a job and help pay the
bills? Jones says she hopes to become a stronger and
wiser woman from this incident. She has been
spending a lot of time with close friend, Basketball
Star Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat. When they were
spotted out recently, eyebrows were raised because
Wade is also separated from his wife. Will he be the
next to file for divorce? Jones shouldn’t have to
worry about her money. She had a clause in her
pre-nup that stated if the marriage ended before the
five year period, she could keep her money. The
marriage was over in four.
Will American Idol Winner Jordin Sparks ever sing
again? The 18-year old is suffering from bleeding
vocal chords. It’s a serious condition that could
require laser microsurgery. She had to pull out of
the Alicia Keys concert tour, and she has been
ordered under strict vocal rest. This happened years
ago to famed Entertainer/Singer Frank Sinatra, and
he was forced to halt his music career and
concentrate on acting.
Where is Actress Lisa Raye? The First Lady of The
Turks and Caicos has been missing in action since
her husband Prime Minister Michael Missick was
accused of assaulting a woman on the islands during
a party. The prime minister has released a video
statement denying the rape accusations. He is being
pressured to step down from his role. Sources say
it’s not only the sexual assault charges, but it’s a
series of widespread corruption on the island. Will
the Prime Minister step down, and will have his wife
stand by his side? When Lisa Raye married the Prime
Minister, it was a star studded televised event.
Now, the First Lady/Actress is in hiding and
refusing to talk.
Eddie Murphy wants his ring back, the $500,000 ring
that he gave to ex-girlfriend Tracey Edmonds.
Edmonds feels she was dumped after their 17-day old
fake marriage, so she is keeping the 8 carat, yellow
Cartier ring. Edmonds says she’ll return the ring
when hell freezes over. Since the disastrous island
ceremony, Murphy and Edmonds have moved on. She’s
dating celebrity Chef Rocco Dispirito, and Murphy,
47, is dating a 25-year old cocktail waitress.
Should Edmonds return the ring? In a recent poll
that I did, many said no. One guy from Philly
commented who gives a woman a ring like that and
she’s not even the mother of his kids.
The children of Ray Charles are fighting the manager
of his estate. 10 of Charles’ children have filed a
federal lawsuit stating that Joe Adams, their
father’s longtime manager, is stealing from the
estate. The estate is worth $50 million, and so far
over $1.2 million is gone. The children claim Adams
took advantage of their dad during the heyday of his
drug addiction and had Charles sign papers over to
him. The children claim they have no rights to
license their dad’s name and likeness. At the time
of their dad’s death’ each child was awarded
$500,000.
Prophetess Juanita Bynum is moving on with her life.
During a recent TV stint on Court TV, Bynum revealed
she was through with her marriage. She says she will
always love Bishop Thomas Weeks, but she loves
herself more. Weeks is currently on probation for
assaulting Bynum, and he’s undergoing court ordered
counseling. In another shocker, Bynum admitted she
had thoughts of suicide during the turbulent
marriage. Bynum says she didn’t want to appear as a
failure when the marriage ended.
Whitney Houston and Ray-J back together……
eeeuuuwwww!!!!! Why Whitney, Why! You need a real
man, not Brandy’s little brother. Ray J loves to
indulge, and this is the last thing you need as you
stay straight and sober. If this is a publicity
stunt, go one better. Get a real man. A strong man,
who will help you get your life together.
Congrats to Actress Tia Mowry, she recently married
Cory Hardict. Mowry and her sister Tamera are best
known as the twins stars of Sister, Sister, and Tia
is currently starring in the CW series The Game.

will feature Extra Correspondent and Weekend
Co-anchor Tanika Ray doing special features as well

13-year old Conner Cruise, the son of Actor Tom
Cruise is following in his dad’s footsteps. Young
Conner has been cast as the younger version of Will
Smith’s character in the movie Seven Pounds. Conner
is Cruise’s adopted son with Nicole Kidman.
Despite millions tuning in every week, does American
Idol still have that hot buzz? The ratings for the
show have been off a little bit. Sources say this
year’s contestants are not that interesting. It’s
also a sure bet that a young guy is going to win,
probably one of the Davids. Are you still crazy

The CBS shows CSI and CSI: Miami will have a new
look next season. Two of the stars are leaving the
shows Actor Gary Dourdan (“Warrick Brown”) and
Actress Khandi Alexander (“Dr. Alex Woods”). Sources
say Alexander is leaving the show because the money
wasn’t right.
Jill Scott goes nude in the new issue of Allure
magazine. She appears in a tastefully done spread
with Actresses Angie Harmon and Gabrielle Union.
It’s Allure’s annual nude issue.
The busiest man in movies, Tyler Perry, is having a
problem with a stalker. The woman has already
planned their wedding, bought the rings and sent him
several hundred emails a day. Perry realized enough
was enough when she showed up at his home. He had to
hire extra security. In other Perry news, filming
starts next month on Madea Goes To Jail. Tyler is
back as “Madea” along with Keisha Knight Pulliam,
little “Rudy Huxtable” from The Cosby Show. Pulliam
is playing a hooker who winds in jail with “Madea.”
Actor Derek Luke also stars.
Actor Isaiah Washington is proving there is life
after Grey’s Anatomy. Washington was famously dumped
from the show after he made a gay slur that was
heard around the world. Washington was most recently
seen on the NBC show The Bionic Woman. Now he’s
headed to the big screen teaming up with Oscar
Winner Forest Whitaker in the movie The Patriots.
Filming is currently underway in New Orleans.
LL Cool J is teaming up with Oprah’s TV Doctor
Mehmet Oz. They are launching a new campaign aimed
at getting obese kids fit. This new U.S. campaign
will target overweight kids to get them to eat
better and exercise more.
Singer Al Wilson has died. Wilson was best known for
the 1974 hit Show And Tell. He died from heart
failure at the age of 68.
At the young age of 75, Super Producer Quincy Jones
is showing no signs of slowing down. Jones was the
recent winner of the Pied Piper Award by ASCAP. This
is one of music’s highest honors. Jones says he is
still working hard on his next project, which is
collaboration between Stevie Wonder and Tony
Bennett.
Congrats to Sean “P Diddy” Combs. The hip hop mogul
and actor recently got a star on the Hollywood Walk
Of Fame.
Now that he’s leaving the hit show Law And Order,
what’s next for Actor Jesse L. Martin? Martin will
be starring in a new movie based on the life of
Music Great Marvin Gaye. He’s also in talks to star
in the Broadway version of the hit Sidney Poitier
movie Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner. Martin started
his career on Broadway in the musical Rent.
The David E. Talbert movie First Sunday, with Ice
Cube, Katt Williams and Tracy Morgan, is coming out
on DVD May 13th.
Singer Robin Thicke returns on July 1st with his
latest CD Something Else. Oscar Winner Jennifer
Hudson also returns to her first love singing with
her first solo project on September 30th.
Oprah, Cher and Tina Turner! Oprah is bringing the
two singing sensations for a special from Vegas on
May 8th.
The Flavor Of Love lives on. VH1 won’t let it go.
Now that Flavor Flav is concentrating on his acting
career with his new show, Under One Roof, his son,
Flav, Jr., will be taking his place on the show
looking for love. Flav, Jr. is 21-years old, and
let’s just say, the apple doesn’t fall from the
tree.
Wayne Brady is single again. The Singer/Actor
recently divorced his wife of 4 years. They have a
young daughter.
Don’t look for a Soul Train Award ceremony this
year, but look out for The Soul Train Movie. The
movie is being produced by Don Cornelius. The movie
is a buddy comedy about two guys who dance on the
show. Cornelius says the movie will highlight those
sexy Soul Train Dancers.

Get ready for Sex And The City, the movie. The movie
opens in theatres May 30th.
Singer India.Arie is headed to Broadway. Arie will
be starring in the Ntozake Shange classic For
Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The
Rainbow Is Enough. The production originally debuted
in 1977. Previews start in July, and it officially
opens on Broadway August 2nd. The stage play looks
at the experience of being a black woman in America
through the eyes of seven characters.
The TV version of A Raisin In The Sun with Sean “P
Diddy” Combs, Phylicia Rashad, Sanaa Lathan and
Audra McDonald is coming out on DVD May 6th.
Harrison Ford returns as “Indiana Jones” in the new
movie, Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal
Skull. Despite being in his 60’s, Ford can still do
the wild stunts. The movie opens in theatres May
22nd.
