Alejandra Jackson needs money! Alejandra has four children, two by Randy Jackson and two by Jermaine Jackson. Alejandra dumped Randy to be with his older brother Jermaine. Randy and Jermaine had a bitter falling out over this woman, and it destroyed their relationship. Jermaine has been struggling with his finances ever since younger brother Michael cut off finances to him. Jermaine loves living large, and he recently dumped Alejandra and their two children. Jermaine has found love with a woman who is loaded with money. Jermaine realized he needed an upgrade. Now he is riding around in a Rolls Royce while Alejandra has to beg for money to get gas in her car. Alejandra claims Jermaine is a deadbeat and a poor role model because he lets their kids, ages 11 and 7, sleep in the same bed as him and his new girlfriend. Karma is something else! Alejandra realizes she shouldn’t have dumped Randy for Jermaine because now Jermaine has dumped her for someone else. And to top it all off, a judge has determined that Jermaine doesn’t have to pay child support because there is no proof of income. Child support will have to be paid by Jermaine’s mom, Katherine Jackson! And, Alejandra will have to continue living with Jermaine’s mom, for free!

In more legal and music news, Ronald Isley, a.k.a. “Mr. Biggs,” has begun his prison sentence. He is currently being housed in the prison hospital ward. Isley’s past health problems include a stroke and a battle with kidney cancer.

The man Isley has referred to as his “son” begins his own legal battle. The R Kelly child pornography trial starts September 17th. The trial five years in the making is expected to last 3-4 weeks. Kelly faces 15 years in prison. The young girl in the video was alleged to be 14-years old at the time. She is now 23, and is expected to testify. The young woman is expected to say she is not the girl in the video. R Kelly says he is not the guy in the video. Which makes you wonder, who was in the video? The young woman’s father used to work with R Kelly, and sources say Kelly paid off the family to be quiet. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of child pornography.

Usher says he is enjoying life as a happily married man. Usher tied the knot with his older pregnant fiancée Tameka Foster six days after calling off the wedding. With his momma by his side and a signed prenup, Usher married Foster. He says he is very happy, and now he is concentrating on the birth of his child and a new album.

Eddie Murphy speaks! Murphy has been the butt of jokes for months because of his relationship with former Spice Girl Mel B and the non-relationship with their daughter, 4-month old Angel Iris. Murphy says contrary to what Mel B says, he has given her money for child support, covered the expenses of her pregnancy and has acknowledged the child. In an interview with Essence magazine, Mel B says she and Eddie planned this pregnancy and the baby. Murphy says they never planned a damn thing! Murphy is finally speaking out because he realizes Mel B will stop at nothing to further humiliate him for dumping her. In the latest incident, Mel B met with Eddie’s ex-wife Nicole, and they had a very public lunch where they introduced Eddie’s kids to their new little sister. Someone is lying. Who is it, Mel or Eddie? Mel has been partying and drinking up a storm. In addition to her money from child support, she’s getting $1 million to reunite with her former bandmates in The Spice Girls. Mel B has her friends worried over her reckless behavior. She is not speaking to a lot of her friends, and she has cut off ties from her mother. What’s up with Mel? A lot fingers are pointing to her new boyfriend Stephen Belafonte. He says he’s a producer, but associates say he is a con artist. His real name is Stephen Standsbury. He changed it to Belafonte so that people would think he was the son of legendary Entertainer Harry Belafonte. Sources say he knows Mel is lonely and is expecting a big payday. Belafonte lets her drink and party at whim because he is enjoying the spotlight and her money.

The children of James Brown are coming out of the woodwork. The DNA test results are coming in, and two of the 12 people who took tests have been declared the legitimate offspring of the Godfather of Soul. Brown died at the age of 73 from heart failure on Christmas Day. One of the new found off spring is a 45-year old former flight attendant who is now the oldest of the Brown children. She says Brown knew he was her father and always denied her. Now, she wants her share of the Brown inheritance. The young child of Brown’s last girlfriend Tomi Rae Hynie has not been tested. Hynie claims the six-year old is the child of Brown. But, according to those closest to Brown at the time of his death, Brown never acknowledged the kid. He always referred to him as the little man but never his son.

In other paternity news, Chris Rock is off the hook! The DNA tests are in, and he is not the father of a 13-year old California boy. Rock had an affair with the woman years ago, and she tried to claim Rock was the daddy. Rock is now suing the woman for defamation of character.

The legal tug of war over the estate of Gerald Levert has begun. Gerald left behind money, cars, homes, furniture, securities, bank accounts, publishing rights, music royalties and three baby mommas. Two of the baby mommas are challenging the estate, which is overseen by Gerald’s cousin and business manager. The women want to know what’s up with the money, and how is it going to be split. They want their children to get their fair share, and that’s why they are challenging the estate. Gerald Levert died last year at the age of 40 from an accidental overdose of prescription medicine.

Get ready for the number ones from Stevie Wonder. Wonder had his first number one hit in 1963 with Fingertips Part 2, and over the course of 40 years, he kept the hits coming. On August 21st, his number one songs will be featured on a CD including I Was Made To Love Her, Part-Time Lover, That Girl and You Are The Sunshine Of My Life.

Victor Willis of The Village People is ready to tell all. The former front-man for the group is 56, and for years he made headlines because of his arrests and history of drug abuse. Willis has been sober for 18 months, and he wants to set the record straight about The Village People. Willis says he quit the group because his bandmates were too gay. Willis was the cop, and he was the only straight member. He used to be married to The Cosby Show’s Phylicia Rashad. He says he never intended the group to become gay icons with their hit YMCA and In The Navy. Willis rakes in about a $1 million a year in royalties for all the disco songs he wrote.

Toni Braxton is being sued by a wardrobe designer. The designer says he designed clothes for Braxton’s Las Vegas show, and she owes him $15,000.

A Woman Falling Out Of Love is the name of the new album from the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin. The project is due out early next year.

The Vibe issue featuring Presidential Candidate Barack Obama on the cover is due out this week. This is the first time a politician is being featured as the cover subject.

Congratulations to Fatin Dantzler and Aja Graydon of Kindred The Family Soul. They are expecting their fourth child, and they working on a new album.

Baby I Love You, But You Gotta Get A Job. Star Jones is gearing up for her return to TV in her new show on Court TV. The job on Court TV is not paying the money she is used to getting from the major networks, so finances are tight for her and hubby Al Reynolds. When Star met her hubby, he was working as an investment banker, but he quit his job when they hooked up. Star and Al loved to live the fabulous life, and Al may have to get a job. Lately, he’s been working with Star by helping her get ready for her new TV show.

Rick Fox and Vanessa Williams are getting back together…. but only for TV. Fox and Williams were married for several years, and they have a young daughter. The two exes are very friendly. So much so that Fox will be joining the cast of Williams’ hit show Ugly Betty. Fox is going to play her bodyguard. Williams just got nominated for an Emmy for her work on the show.

First, Kobe Bryant tried to leave the Lakers. Now reports have it he’s trying to leave his wife Vanessa. Vanessa is the mother of his two daughters. Over the years, she has put with a rape trial, infidelity and public humiliation. Vanessa did not sign a prenup, and she would get over $100 million if Kobe divorced her.

Flavor Flav is back with another season of Flavor of Love. In Flavor of Love III, Flav is looking for a classy lady. This should be interesting because in real life Flav has a girlfriend, and she just gave birth seven months ago to their baby. On Sunday, August 12th, Flav is going to be roasted by friends and colleagues in a Comedy Central special.

Beyonce has been named the new spokesperson for American Express. The campaign will launch later this year. Her new Armani fragrance, Diamonds, came out last weekend.

Jill Scott graces the cover of the new issue of Essence magazine. She looks fabulous, and for the first time, in an interview with Author Terry McMillan, she talks about her recent divorce. Scott says she may be divorced, but she is not broken. Her new album, The Real Thing: Words And Music Volume III, comes out on September 25th. Her new movie, Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married, with Janet Jackson arrives in theatres this November.

Where is Sherri Shepherd? Shepherd was long rumored to be joining the ABC daytime talker The View along with Whoopi Goldberg, but when the big announcement was made only Whoopi was confirmed. Sources say Shepherd was asking for too much money. Inside sources at ABC however say Barbara Walters didn’t like the feedback she was getting about hiring two African American women, so she quietly dropped negotiations with Shepherd. The vacant role is the one left behind by Star Jones. Now the big question is who will fill the slot.

Jennifer Hudson has been working overtime trying to finish up her debut album. Record execs were not happy with many of the songs she chose, so she had to round up new producers and material. The biggest hurdle for the Oscar winner is the kind of image they want her to project.

Despite various lawsuits hanging over her head, Singer Brandy is keeping busy with her hair business. She recently unveiled her new line of wigs via Ultima Hair. Prosecutors in California are still trying to determine if she should be charged in the fatal car crash that killed a woman late last year. Brandy says it was an accident, and she is being sued by the woman’s family and others involved in the crash.

Tyra Banks and her family had a sendoff for her younger brother Devin. He’s an Air Force cadet getting ready for duty in Iraq.

Andre 3000 from Outkast is in talks to star in a movie based on the life of Sammy Davis, Jr. The movie, Sammy and Kim, will focus on Davis’ ill fated interracial romance with Actress Kim Novak.

Blair Underwood is joining the cast the new ABC drama Dirty, Sexy Money. He’s also appearing in the HBO series In Treatment and with Julia Louis-Dreyfus on her show The New Adventures of Old Christine.

The BET channel is looking for the next gospel star. Sunday Best debuts October 2nd on BET, and the winner will get a recording contract and cash for their church.

Get ready for more Trapped In The Closet with R Kelly. The new DVD arrives in stores August 21st, and will feature Kelly in different roles. For example, Kelly as an elderly man with a fake beard and pot belly and a preacher with a Jheri Curl.

At the movies this week, it’s Rush Hour III with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker and Daddy Day Camp with Cuba Gooding Jr.
