Get well wishes go out to Good Morning America Anchor Robin Roberts. Roberts, 46, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and she is scheduled to undergo surgery soon. Roberts says she is lucky the cancer was caught in its early stages.

Was it all a publicity stunt, and just who is telling the truth? Usher and Tameka: The Wedding Fiasco Continues. With all the negative publicity surrounding his fiancé and cancelled wedding, can Usher’s career survive this public relations disaster? Is Usher a turned out young boy or a mama’s boy? Either way, it doesn’t look good for the pop star. He has a new fragrance coming out and a new album. Is his fan base turned off? I certainly am. If he marries this woman with the criminal record and numerous baby daddies, he is a damn fool! Sources say friends are urging him to put his mom back in charge of his career and put the focus back on his music and off the scandal. Will Usher listen, or will he be led astray by Tameka?

Are wedding bells are in the air for Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds? Eddie gave Tracey an eight carat yellow diamond ring, and they are planning a low key ceremony for later this year. This is a great career movie for Tracey Edmonds. The ex-wife of Babyface knows that being Mrs. Eddie Murphy will land her more movie projects. Her recent movie, Who’s Your Caddy, didn’t do well at the box office. But, now that she is marrying a Hollywood superstar, look for her to produce better projects. When Eddie first got married to Nicole Murphy back in 1993, it was labeled as one of the most expensive weddings in history. Eddie and Tracey have been dating for less than a year. Tracey has stood by his side despite the fact that he fathered a child with another woman and has yet to give that woman (Mel B) any money for that child. How can Tracey co-sign on this? Mel B says Eddie will have to step up to the plate financially and emotionally for their baby girl. In a recent interview with Essence magazine, Mel says she questioned Murphy about his lifestyle when they were together. Now that Eddie is getting married again, when will he start making child support payments?

What’s keeping New York Giant Michael Strahan out of training camp? At press time, the future Hall of Famer was a no show at camp, and he was hinting at retiring. Strahan is dating Eddie Murphy’s ex, Nicole Murphy. Nicole is loaded with money, and Strahan needs money after his recent divorce. Who needs football when you have Nicole Murphy’s money?

D-Day is coming for Singer Ron Isley. Isley has been found guilty on five counts of tax evasion. He’s due to start his three year sentence at a federal prison medical facility on August 9th. Reps at his record label are seeking a presidential pardon for the legendary singer claiming he’s sick and disabled. He’s also has two young babies and a young wife in need of his help. Will Isley be spared, or will he be shipped off to prison?

Don’t look for any new Janet Jackson music on the soundtrack to Rush Hour III. We will have to wait for her new album on Island Def Jam Records, scheduled for release early next year. Janet is gearing up for the release of a new fitness DVD. Even though she gained a few pounds over the holidays, she is back to losing weight.

Presidential Candidate Barack Obama is gracing the cover of the new issue of Vibe. The Illinois Senator is making Vibe history as the first politician to take the cover of the magazine.

Beyonce is doing well after her recent tumble during a concert in Orlando. Beyonce escaped serious injury, and she proved that she is a trooper by getting right back up after falling and continuing her performance. Since the fall, she has been keeping a low profile, but her tour goes on.

Speaking of Beyonce, her mom, Tina Knowles, is getting ready to unveil her new fashion line on the Home Shopping Network. Ms. Tina’s line debuts during Fall Fashion Week August 19th and 20th.

Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys are joining Elmo for his new Christmas special. The Sesame Street special will air on ABC later this year. Now speaking of Jennifer Hudson, Avon has unveiled their new perfume ad campaign starring the Oscar winner. Hudson is the spokesperson for their new fragrance Imani.

Dave Chappelle is hard at work on a new project. He’s producing a new movie that will introduce comedy fans to the world’s funniest Muslims. Allah Made Me Funny is the name of the project, and it will feature top Muslim comics.

The BET channel is looking for the next gospel star. Sunday Best debuts October 2nd on BET, and the winner will get a recording contract and cash for their church.

The Biography channel will feature two music legends on upcoming shows. August 9th will focus on Tina Turner, and August 16th will feature Aretha Franklin. Tina’s ex-hubby, Rocker Ike Turner, was recently turned down for an Ike Turner Day in St. Louis because of his violent past. The day was scheduled for September 2nd, but the request to honor the 75-year old musician was denied. Turner says he wasn’t upset. He says he only owes one person an apology, and that’s Tina for all he put her through. Ike says everyone else can kiss his a**.

Is Kim Porter getting back with her first baby daddy Singer Al B. Sure? According to Sure: No! Sure and Porter have a teenage son together named Quincy. Sure says he and Porter remain committed to raising their son, but they are not reconciling. Sure says Porter’s ex, P Diddy, has been and remains a positive force in his son’s life. Sure says he would never damage that.

Get ready for more Trapped In The Closet with R Kelly. The new DVD arrives in stores August 21st, and will feature Kelly in different roles. For example, Kelly as an elderly man with a fake beard and pot belly and a preacher with a Jheri Curl.

The seats of Star Jones and Rosie O’Donnell are about to be filled on the daytime talker The View. Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd are expected to be tapped as new co-hosts. The show will now feature three comediennes (Joy Behar is also a comic), one conservative (Elisabeth Hasselbeck) and one newswoman (Barbara Walters). A lot of people were surprised that Walters would hire two African American women as replacements. A lot of people were lobbying for a male to join the group or a Latina. Goldberg and Shepherd will be in full place by the fall. Now speaking of The View, former View Host Star Jones finally reveals how she lost 160 pounds. In an interview and first person story to Glamour magazine, Jones reveals she underwent Gastric Bypass surgery. She had the surgery in August 2003. Jones said at her heaviest, she weighed over 307 pounds. Jones lied for years about how she lost weight claiming it was through Pilates. When asked why she lied, Jones revealed she was scared of what people would think. She also admitted that she underwent psychological therapy to deal with feelings of anger, shame and insecurities.

Tyra Banks is loving her move to New York City. Banks recently moved her talk show to New York, and now we know the real reason. She’s got a new man. Handsome John Utendahl is a 6’3 investment banker. The former supermodel is loving the east coast flavor and, of course, her new boo.

Kimora Lee Simmons is gearing up for the debut of her Style Network TV show. Life in the Fab Lane debuts August 5th on the channel. Simmons recently shot down reports that she’s upset about her soon to be ex, Music Mogul Russell Simmons, finding love with another woman, a model. Simmons says she has moved on with her life and her new love, Actor Djimon Hounsou.

What’s up with Floetry? The popular singing duo has undergone a change. Natalie has stepped off. Word has it she’s being replaced by an MTV rapper and personality.

Shonda Rhimes, the creator behind Grey’s Anatomy, is speaking out about the firing of Isaiah Washington. Rhimes says the Washington firing was easy because it was a decision that was a long time coming. Washington caused quite a stir last season with reports of on set fighting and his repeated use of a gay slur. Washington has landed on his feet since Grey’s. He’ll be appearing on the NBC TV show The Bionic Woman.

Mo’Nique really means it when she says she wants a serious acting career. The popular comedienne is teaming up once again with Director/Producer Lee Daniels. She first teamed up with him in the movie Shadowboxer, where she played a crack addict. In his new movie Push, Mo’Nique will play a child abuser. Daniels is best known for producing the movie Monsters’ Ball which won Halle Berry a Best Actress Oscar. Daniels’ next project will be the Mariah Carey movie Tennessee.

Former American Idol Contestant Corey Clark is in trouble again. Clark was the Idol contestant who claimed he had an affair with Idol Judge Paula Abdul. Clark was recently arrested on drug possession charges. He was previously arrested in 2002 on a domestic abuse charge.

Congratulations to Actress Kim Fields and Broadway Actor Christopher Morgan, they recently tied the knot. Last May, Fields and Morgan became parents of a baby boy. Donnie McClurkin performed the ceremony. Fields is best known for her roles as “Tootie” on The Facts of Life TV show and “Regine” on Living Single.

Congrats are also in order for Singer/Actor Tyrese. The Transformers star is a new dad. He and his fiancée are the proud parents of a baby girl.
